ACP 550 – extends the breadth of the SmartNet product family to meet demands for greater throughput, reduced latency, higher port density and a larger selection of physical interfaces for deploying network infrastructures that interconnect Ethernet, Asynchronous and X.25 devices over IP, Frame Relay and TDM networks. The ACP 550 is underpinned by an advanced dual core communication processor designed specifically for the telecommunications and networking markets.

Several types of Ethernet, WAN, T1/E1 network modules may be combined to provide up to 144 asynchronous ports, 24 multi-protocol ports, Dual 10/100 Base-T/TX Ethernet interfaces, 40 WAN connections, a 16-port Fast Ethernet Switch and up to 8x cT1 or cE1 Digital Link Interfaces. An Encryption Coprocessor is also offered to enhance IPsec and SSL operation.
